I'm back out in the Kananaskis area in this video to do the hike up the West Wind Pass Trail! It starts in the Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park, right next to the Spray Lakes Reservoir. Although most of the hike is in the trees, when you get to the end of the trail the views are incredible. Looking east you can see the Trans Canada Highway, and looking west you get amazing views of the Spray Lakes Reservoir. Overall the hike is moderate, and most people can do it with some taking more time than others. Something else to note when doing this hike is that there are some paths that branch off of it. I found having an offline map like Google Maps or All Trails helped me stay on the right trail. You can also extend this hike by going up to the Wind Tower summit, but I didn't chose to do so. I found the views of the mountains were pretty great from the ending point. Going down also didn't take me long at all. In total it took me roughly a couple hours to do the hike!
