While visiting family over the winter season in my hometown of Medicine Hat, my mom and I venture down to Strathcona Island Park to walk around on a more mild winter day. We walk near the interpretive center, and on our walk see a berm constructed to aid in diverting flood waters when the South Saskatchewan River floods again. Also see a tree that had been chewed down by a beaver! To finish off the day we walk down by the frozen river, admiring the view. Despite it looking very cold, the temperature was pretty warm while we walked around Strathcona!
