On a solo day trip, I travel to Bragg Creek Provincial Park, just on the outside of the hamlet of Bragg Creek. The area is located roughly 40 minutes west of Calgary. There I started my time in the park by having some lunch at a picnic table. There are many picnic tables at the park, including a couple fire pits. There were 2 parts to the park, one was grassy, and one was more of the natural vegetation. I suspect the grassy area would be great to throw around a Frisbee with others when I come back out here. You can even walk down to the Elbow River, where damage from the 2013 flood can still be seen nearly 3 years later.
