I decided to go on a Spontaneous day trip out to the Elbow Valley in Kananaskis. There I first went to Elbow Falls, just off of highway 66 and about 20 km from Bragg Creek. I had a fire there first, cooking up a couple hot dogs for myself. After that I made my way down the path to the waterfall. There is a good path that winds around the falls area, giving you views from all angles. I managed to get pretty close to the falls! Fun fact, this exact spot was used in the Season 5 Episode 6 of the television show Hell On Wheels. After exploring the falls, I headed back towards Bragg Creek, and stopped at what remains of Allen Bill Pond. The pond was mostly destroyed during the 2013 flood that affected the area all the way from Bragg Creek to Calgary to Canmore. A lot of the rocks seen in this part of the video was not there previously, and was brought there by the flood. I walked around by the river, then did a bit of flint-napping to create a makeshift spear. It wasn't the best quality, but was fun to make nonetheless.
